Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, producer... k-os  A collection of k-os in your playlist should appease your need for quality hip hop, funky grooves, boogie beats and soulful ballads. This eclectic artist has range like the Andes Mountains. The lyrics frequently focus on promoting a "positive message" while at times expressing criticism of mainstream hip hop culture's obsession with money, fame and glorification of violence.
Tracks like Man I Use To Be (Joyful Rebellion), Follow Me (Exit) and Sunday Morning & Black Ice (Atlantis: hymns for Disco) stand out amongst his work for being as equally powerful as it is diverse.   k-os last album dropped in 2006. What he’s been up to since, who knows, but what he’s put out already is most certainly mix tape worthy. Check him out.
